Our Fees
In terms of charges, Opes Financial Planning Ltd. are always keen to ensure that clients’ costs are kept to a minimum. All our charges are transparent and fully disclosed to clients before any work is carried out.
We have a 6-stage approach with all new client engagements, but you are not obliged to complete all six stages. It may be that after stage 4, you simply need to tweak existing structures rather than establishing new financial products
Stage 1 - Introductory meeting
- At the initial Opes Financial Planning Introductory meeting, we discuss your objectives and requirements.
Cost Range/Basis - This stage is offered on a complimentary basis.
Stage 2 - Discovery - you provide us with the financials
- This stage assists us in getting to know the particulars of your situation by asking you to provide us with the financial data and any specific areas of concern you want covered.
- Upon review of this information, we will assess the areas in which we can assist you with. We will at this point be able to gauge the level of work involved and issue you a cost proposal for moving onto stages 3 & 4.
Cost Range/Basis - This stage is offered on a complimentary basis. You incur no cost and are under no obligation to proceed beyond this stage.
Stage 3 – Research, Analysis & Discussion meeting
Upon your confirmation to proceed and acceptance of our proposal;
- We will do an in-depth analysis of your existing holdings, pension, investment and protection.
- We will then review all of this information and map what your financial journey will look like as things stand from now until your demise.
- We will then identify any shortfalls or issues which need to be addressed.
Cost Range/Basis – The Stage 3 & Stage 4 fees are grouped together (see cost under stage 4)
Stage 4 - Recommendation Report.
- We will put together a report which will include cash flow model forecasts that we were presented to you in Stage 3
- Should Stage 3 identify areas that need to be addressed, we will construct a detailed written financial plan, outlining our recommendations to bridge any shortfalls or changes required/identified to improve your current and future financial position.
Cost Range/Basis - €1,200 - €1,850. This is based on the complexity and analysis required. This fee covers all stages 1-4.
VAT may apply in certain instances.
Stage 5 - Implementation
- Financial Products are not needed in all cases, however, if there is a requirement and you opt to proceed with any of our recommendations (investments, pensions, savings, etc) as outlined in the report (stage 4), we will provide a further details report for implementation/product placement.
Cost Range/Basis - 0% – 4%. This is typically tiered by portfolio size and the complexity of the work involved.
Stage 6 - Ongoing Service
Should you become an ongoing client of Opes Financial Planning, we will provide you with the following services:
- Continual review of the financial plan and holdings you have through our office to ensure everything remains aligned with your goals and changing circumstances.
- Ongoing face-to-face financial advice
Cost Range/Basis - 0% – 0.50% p.a. of assets under management
Commission and Fee Offsets:
Opes Financial Planning may receive commissions from product providers. If this occurs, in certain instances, these commissions can be used to offset fees from earlier stages (typically Stages 3–5).

We are conveniently located on the Southern Cross Road between Bray and Greystones which can be accessed via junction 7 of the N11.
This is ideal for servicing clients from the surrounding South Dublin, Wicklow and greater Leinster areas.
Directions:
Our office is situated 20kms south of Dublin, just beyond Bray in Co. Wicklow. Take the M50 southbound onto the N11 then take Exit 7, the Bray/Greystones exit and follow signs to Greystones. We are on the right near the end of the Southern Cross road leading from the N11 to the Greystones Rd.
