Our Fees
In terms of charges, Opes Financial Planning Ltd. are always keen to ensure that clients’ costs are kept to a minimum. All our charges are transparent and fully disclosed to clients before we any work is carried out.
We have a 6-stage approach with all new client engagements, and cost for each stage as appropriate.
Stage 1 - Introductory meeting
- At the initial Opes Financial Planning Introductory meeting, we discuss your objectives and requirements. This service is offered on a complimentary basis.
Stage 2 - Discovery - you provide us with the financials
- This stage assists us in getting to know the particulars of your situation by asking you to provide us with the financial data and any specific areas of concern you want covered.
- Upon review of this information, we will assess the areas which we can assist you with and then provide you with a detailed summary of our fee structure tailored to you specifically and the associated costs of each future stage, there is no commitment for engagement or payment at this stage.
- You will be issued a summary of the balance owing at each stage thereafter. It is not a requirement to complete all stages as this will be dependent on your individual circumstances.
Stage 3 – Research, Analysis & Discussion meeting
- We will do an in-depth analysis of your existing holdings, pension, investment and protection.
- We will then review all of this information and map out what your financial journey will look like based on the current situation from now until mortality.
The costs associated with this stage range from €500 - €950 ex VAT, depending on the complexity of each individual case.
Stage 4 - Recommendation Report.
- Should Stage 3 Identify areas that need to be addressed, we will construct a detailed written financial plan, outlining our recommendations to bridge any shortfalls or changes required/identified to improve your current and future financial position.
The costs associated with this stage range from €500-€950 ex VAT, depending on the complexity of each individual case.
Stage 5 - Implementation
- Financial Products are not needed in all cases, however, if there is a requirement and you opt to proceed with any of our recommendations (investments, pensions, savings, etc) as outlined in the report (stage 4), we will provide a further details report for implementation/product placement.
The fee associated with this is between 0%-4% depending on the level of monies involved.
Stage 6 - Ongoing Service
Should you become an ongoing client of Opes Financial Planning, we will provide you with the following service:
- Continual review of the financial plans and holdings you have through our office.
- Ongoing face-to-face financial advice.
- Annual policy review
The cost associated with this is between 0% - 1% per annum based on the value of the assets under our management.
Please be aware that Opes Financial Planning can be remunerated by commission/fee from product providers. If we receive a commission/fee from a product provider at the implementation stage, it may be possible to deduct the fees on account (from stages 3-5) from the product placement, thus resulting in no invoice being raised.

We are conveniently located on the Southern Cross Road between Bray and Greystones which can be accessed via junction 7 of the N11.
This is ideal for servicing clients from the surrounding South Dublin, Wicklow and greater Leinster areas.
Directions:
Our office is situated 20kms south of Dublin, just beyond Bray in Co. Wicklow. Take the M50 southbound onto the N11 then take Exit 7, the Bray/Greystones exit and follow signs to Greystones. We are on the right near the end of the Southern Cross road leading from the N11 to the Greystones Rd.
